To provide assistance and resources to students and alumni for their life-long career development.

The CDC is here to help you think about your career plans and assist you in transitioning from student to working professional and/or into the world of higher education. The CDC provides numerous opportunities and we urge you to explored the services early in your SBHS experience. Please take advantage of the many ways we can work together in helping you meet your goals.

CDC Announcements
CAREER/JOB EXPO
The annual SBHS CAREER/JOB EXPO is scheduled for (Blue) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 9:50 am to 2:00 pm in the SBHS gymnasium. Over 75 businesses will be represented with many different occupations. This is a great opportunity for students to talk with professionals about college, employment, shadowing, and internships or just discuss ideas related to their future.
Schedule:
9:00-9:45 a.m.: Set up
9:50-10:45 a.m.: EXPO opens to juniors and seniors only
10:50—11:55 a.m.: Ambassador’s will escort “company reps” to café 1 for lunch/conversation.
12:00-1:55 p.m.: EXPO opens to all students.

 Volunteer & Internship Opportunities
More than 100 VOLUNTEER & INTERNSHIP opportunities are on file in the CDC. Please visit the office to learn more. A brief listing is showcased on the bulletin board located behind the mural in the SBHS' main lobby.

500 (+) BOXES DONATED TO THE SBHS' CCS TREATS FOR OUR TROOPS PROJECT
On behalf of senior Aubrey Brueckner, Project Coordinator and the members of the SBHS' Coalition for Community Service club, thank you for all your donations & support! We were successful because of you!
Distribution:
#1: Each of the 500 members of the Vermont National Guard - 172 Cavalry unit will receive a care package.
#2: Any remaining boxes will be distributed to the deployed members from Norwich University.
#3: Last but never least, any single service member who is new to the military ranks.
